Hello.
I am changing the way I put out the poetry because I’m not doing it every week and because it’s such a different medium I think it deserves more of itself and I think for the reader, allowing space to become emotional and to be overwhelmed (hopefully), confused, struck down…I have high hopes for it because for me it’s the purest form of translation from my humaneness.
It could be all gobbledy gook also and I apologize if it is.
The following are three entries in a row from WDYMN, written in 2023. At this point all the poems (expressions) were written after Sally died. Thank you for reading. I would appreciate shares and/or subscribes if you haven’t already. Each number signifies a different entry on a different day. Number one is the first chronologically and it goes from there.
Much love to you.

It seems…
there is so much
left undone.How can there be
so much
left undone.Baby books left blank
and photos left unshared
pages and pages
and books and books
left un-opened
virgin journals
after virgin journals
empty pages
looking back at me
with as much anticipation
as I looked at them.Racks of clothes
bags of clothes
stuff in drawers
all waiting
all waiting
It's as if
she only plannedAnd I know
that was her struggle
so easy to plan
so hard to doI can’t shake that I let her down
I can’t shake that it was my job to doThere are no happy endings.

Where are you my love?3.
I told Cinco the cat today,
I think he already knew.
He slept on the couch
where she just lay
something he never used to do.And he scratched his face
on my computer screen
and kept watch from her perch
at the outside scene
and I think he’s known
for quite some time
she thought so too
I don’t know why.Until I saw him laying there
on the place she used to be
a place he’s never lain before
and really
that’s all I need to see. There was no sunbeam,
no caressing touch
he even left his favorite perch
to rest and lie alone
on a spot no happy cat would choose
but for one thing
that now seems true
he knows she’s gone
he misses her too.Edited 3/23/24 – 3 expressions
